Sponsored Content & Link Policy

Sponsored content is a commercial relationship

Payment for an article, review, mention or link should not be presented as independent editorial coverage when it is not. Publishers should use clear disclosures suitable for their audience and jurisdiction.

Search-engine attributes

Google’s spam policies treat buying or selling links for ranking purposes and excessive link exchanges as link spam. Google states that paid links should be qualified with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". LinkMarket therefore does not require followed links and does not market paid placements as guaranteed ranking improvements.

Editorial independence

Publishers can reject proposed destinations, anchors or claims. A commercial agreement does not require a publisher to make statements it cannot substantiate.
